There are some weddings that just stay with you forever—this one absolutely will. Sam & Leah were married this past September in Healdsburg, California, nestled in the hearth of the Wine Country, and their wedding was the perfect blend of romance, movement, softness, and modern garden design.

From the moment Leah first reached out, I could feel how intentional and meaningful this day was going to be. Sam & Leah are high school sweethearts—years of love, friendship, and growth led them to this beautiful celebration, surrounded by the warm summer air and the mountains of Wine Country.

The Floral Direction: wine country Editorial Romance

Because this wedding was in late summer, I curated a floral story that embodied the season and the landscape around us.

We incorporated:

– California dahlias with incredible form and texture

– luxury garden roses in layered tones

– ranunculus for softness and flutter

– spray delphinium for height and poetry

– seasonal berries + movement branches

Everything was built to feel lush, intentional, and beautifully unstructured—almost as if the florals grew up from the vineyard floor that morning.
